how long does it take to paint a mural?

It depends on the complexity of the design and the surface that we are painting on! We’ve been on a job for as little as one day and as long as one month.

what kind of paint do you use?

Mostly interior & exterior latex house paint. We use latex to avoid using the chemicals oil based paints take to clean brushes and materials. Also, latex doesn’t yellow over time and emits fewer odors and lower VOCs which better for the environment (& air quality) in which we’re painting. We will consider useing oil based paint if we need to, but latex is easier and works with most surfaces!

Exterior walls will last anywhere from 5 - 10 years! We can apply an anti graffiti and UV protector to these types of jobs so we can prolong the life of the piece. If the piece is inside a climate controlled space, the art should last as long as the building does!

how do you protect your work?

We add a protectant to exterior pieces only. This shields the piece from spray paint, weather, and UV damage. If something were to be painted on top, the owner can scrub the wall with soap and water and it won’t damage the artwork underneath.

Yes! We visit different cities to paint all the time and would love to chat with you about your upcoming project.
